Chaukori

Dharamghar: Dharamghar is situated 9km from Chaukori. Splendid views of the lofty Himalayas are distinctly visible from the Himdarshan Kutir established by the disciple of Gandhi Ji, Sarla Behn who spent he last days at this quite retreat.
Berinag: Berinag is a small hamlet situated at an elevation of 1,740mts at a distance of 10kms from Chaukori. The town of Berinag faces the massive snow capped peaks of the sublime Himalayas. Previously known as Bedinag this place is famous for its snake temples. Tea gardens of Berinag yield high quality tea which are usually exported to other nations. Berinag is quite rich in flora and fauna as the outskirts of Berinag are covered with thick forests with plenty of vegetation and water streams.
